Interview

What makes you different?

Playing as a libero at the Elite level for CFC has taught me to stay focused, adaptable, and resilient under pressure. As a libero, my role demands quick reflexes, precise defensive skills, and strong court awareness. I take pride in my ability to read the game, anticipate plays, and support my teammates, especially in high-stress moments. What sets me apart is my mental toughness and commitment to constant improvement, both physically and mentally. These qualities not only strengthen my game but also align well with my academic interest in psychology, where understanding the mind and resilience is essential.

Why do you want to play in the U.S college system?

The U.S. college system offers a unique opportunity for me to develop both academically and athletically. Studying psychology in the U.S. will allow me to explore my academic interests in depth while also competing at a high level in volleyball. The collegiate environment emphasizes both athletic and personal growth, which is exactly what I’m looking for. The level of volleyball competition in the U.S. will push me to improve as a libero, while the psychology programs offer diverse courses and research opportunities that will deepen my understanding of the field and prepare me for a meaningful career after sports.

Volleyball and Life goals

My immediate goal is to join a U.S. college team where I can continue developing as a libero, using the experience I’ve gained at the Elite level to contribute to my team. At the same time, I am committed to excelling in my studies in psychology, as I am fascinated by understanding human behavior and the mental aspects of performance. Long term, I aspire to combine my knowledge of sports and psychology, whether as a sports psychologist, counselor, or mental performance coach. My background in competitive volleyball and my passion for psychology will allow me to help others achieve their potential both on and off the court.
